inflation, IPL, Aarushi, Nifty, Sensex...

Yes, you read it right! That is all everybody has to talk about nowadays.

Inflation:
Half the people dont know what inflation means and inturn they are getting scared everyday when that word is printed in bold in all national dailies. Yes, we are going through a tough time - the prices are all time high, crude has touched and breaching record prices everyday. Gold doesnt stop to glitter at all - DONT YOU THINK DOOMS DAY IS LURKING SOMEWHERE AROUND!
People need to understand one thing, this is not the first time inflation has been an issue. If i remember clearly in 1996-1998 we had a similar situation. But that time nobody knew what inflation meant nor did any dailies used to report it so widely. Because it was not news in 1996! People were worse off then, crude price went up and gold was hitting its all time high. People survived all that and we are here today in 2008 and the same is happening. we will again survive/get used to this and people will forget that we did have a dooms day. Fact of life guys, dont worry too much about future - you cannot control it anyways....

IPL:
Another fact of life - u can never predict anything using historical performance or statisitical modelling. If we cudve then somebody atleast one person wouldve predicted that the cheapest team of all - rajasthan will win the IPL.
one thing is for sure, india has changed big time! big big time! Look at the glit and glam around us...wow! nobody wudve imagined while i was in school. i would talk abt ma school sometime...:)

Aarushi:
This is the most sad part i wud be writing. A school gal gets murdered and media is busy trying to get MMS of some nudity and broadcast. Freedom of speech i must say...
i have been following the story very closely and understand that nobody has a clue on whats going on...ppl are coming up with their own theories, baseless obviously...

Sensex & Nifty:
Just goto moneycontrol.com and you will wonder whether the great depression is back. Everyday we hear that the markets are erasing wealth off investors - people are doomed! but arent people making money while this is happening, there is a bunch who is having their last laugh.
Ppl whoever have their money in the market, dont , dont exit now. Just sit tight and forget it. You will see the other side also...it can never ride on a bear market...thats reality...

so this is what ppl have to talk about in india, i have mentioned all the topics. so one billion odd people have only 5 topics to discuss on a daily basis. isnt that funny, ppl will forget the story as soon as the tide is over
